Video Games are Helpful

Video games have been around since the early 80s and have evolved much since then. They bring us much joy and entertainment. They set us in these engaging worlds much different than our own. Many people may think video games are a waste of time. Nothing is achieved by playing these games, but I disagree.

Studies on video games have shown that video games actually help in the development of a child. Children’s minds strengthen through strategy and problem solving games. Their reflexes become better through shooting games. Other games help expand and widen a child’s imagination.

At a school in the U.S. a teacher uses video games to teach his class of 6th graders. These educational games have actually shown a 70% in academic performance. The material being taught isn’t seen as work, but as play. The Children can’t wait to start their homework and study for the test. Of course too much of anything never results in something good. Everything in moderation brings out the best in a nation
